well they have a commercial comparing the toyota tundra to the ford f150...they say blah-blah-blah, and how their truck is better, and then a tow truck comes up behind the f150, and the guy in the tundra drives away laughing....jerks :notnice: :notnice:

ummm...yea that's why the F150 is, and has been for quite some time, the #1 selling pickup! That speaks for itself...Toyota needs a clue.

F-150 28 years running is the best selling pick up hands down.

Equally priced F-150 and Tundra: F-150 is more powerful and hauls more.

By the way. Toyota has already had to recall their 03-05 tundras for fire safety. Hmm... maybe they're getting a little nervous.

See below:
http://www.consumerreports.org/main/detail...D=1118083686884

05 F-150 recalls = none!

Now who's more reliable?

Oh and don't forget toyo's big 880,000 truck recall, and the camry failing the side crash test, and the corolla failing the side crash test, and the tacoma failing the rollover test, and the prius under investigation....

Someone needs to smack toyo's advertising dept. upside the head.

Either that or have a Ford ad that says "Where a Tundra really belongs." depicting a tundra being crushed at a junk yard!

Did expect them to say how great their competition is? They have to try and convince people to buy their product, right?

I guess so, cause when the facts are out, toyo loses

I find it offensive how I have heard jack squat about any of the toyota recalls on the news (and if there is its a tiny blurb) yet when a domestic car maker gets recalls, you can expect a good couple minutes on it :\

toyota also has a lot of "voluntary recalls" too. I guess somehow they get away with not having to fully recall the vehicle even though it may need fixed. the owner of the vehicle can get it fixed but at their expense. Another shady move by them. I don't know how people can trust toyo after all these gimmicks they pull.

Easy. 120,xxx miles and its still running like brand new. I wouldn't give mine away for most brand new domestic cars.

I just can't trust'em and never will. There have just been too many shady things going on with that company. Now I'm not saying at all that no company has its mistake but I'll stay away and stick with my Fords. Buying a toyo is a risk I'm not willing to take.

BTW... You said most new domestic cars. You'd trade it for a brand new Mustang GT though I bet

Of course I would trade it for new Mustang GT (even though I'm not fan of 2005 Mustang). But I wouldn't trade it for any new sedan in that price range (that does not include Cadillac and Lincoln).

That's no one else's fault except the press.

BTW, welcome back Zoran.

I think it is offensive becuase they are implying that the f150 is a piece of crap....thats totally not true...it outsold the tundra by a landslide, so they shouldn't be the ones talking

Why should you take offense to that comercial? Seriously. Is it just because you are a Ford fan? Personally, I think the only people who should take offense to that are those who helped build the truck.

Anyways...I think they are trying to capitalize on the old view of one automaker building more reliable vehicles than the other. Which is not true anymore, but most people don't realize that.
