Remember to remove your nitrous bottles from the car when it gets real hot.

I never even thought about that, but do they not have some sort of safety valve for situations like this?

they are suppose to have a safety disc that blows out at a certain psi and empties the bottle. normally at like 3000psi.

Might have tried heat the bottle incorrectly with a torch at some point and weakened the metal causing catastrophic failure even at pressures less than what is needed to deploy the safety valve.
