Next gen Camaro to be a '16MY
And it'll keep the current 6.2 V8. No confirmation if this means it'll stick with a revised Zeta platform, or move to the smaller Alpha platform.
Be interesting to see if it takes a leap on the styling front. I have a feeling they won't as the Camaro is already pretty "future-retro" as it is.

Seems like everything I've read thus far about the next Camaro indicates it'll either be styled after the 1st or 2nd gen Camaro.
It'll be interesting to see what happens if the mustang looses the retro vibe with the 15MY and the Camaro stays retro...

Everyone has been convinced Camaro is moving to Alpha as soon as possible, and that makes a ton of sense from a performance and affordability standpoint. But no other Alpha vehicle that we have real detail on can take a V8, and that has me wondering how much they have to "tweak" the platform to fit that 6.2.

The ATS is 300 pounds lighter than the current Mustang GT so I imagine an alpha based Camaro with a V8 will be around the same weight at as the current Mustang allowing for cost reductions over the cadi, stronger components if needed, and the increased weight of the V8 over the V6.

Then Ford should reduce the next-gen Mustang's weight by 300+ lbs. Instead of a HP war, I wanna see a weight reduction war! Of course, if the manufacturer can add more HP without weight, I can live with that too.
