All my cars are licensed where I live…. Our registration fees are much lower than most, but you do have to pay sales tax @ 6%,

 

Maryland has made vehicle registration so high that many have gone to register their vehicles in Virginia.... so now Maryland has a bill that is set to go after those people and fine them I think something like $7/day and after so many days they can seize the vehicle if not in compliance. Government must have their pound of flesh because they don't know how to manage money (MD is in the spotlight now for wasteful spending). The last time I went across the Bay Bridge in MD they charged me per axle INCLUDING the car on the trailer! I asked the toll booth worker if I was going to get dinner before I got screwed.
