New American cop car from a new Americancompany?
it'll never see mass production.its just not cost effective for any dept to switch to. A new p71 Interceptor runs about 13,000.00 + options: paintjob, lights, Audio, cage,..msrp on this car would beat least $30,000 a piece.. now, fiscally what is the smarter move from a cost effective municipality? buying an untested platfrom from a company no one has heard of? or continuing with a field-evaluated, time proven platform?
its nice, but it's a pipe dream. the p71 interceptor has carved a niche in fleetcar sales, it's cheap, durable as hell, and easy to replace, fix, maintain, gets the job done, and most importantly does very well in protecting the officer while remining stock looking and not having to rely on ballistic re-enforcement.
