I usually hate this list because the top 10 are always Camry, Accord, and Civic. Well duh, because they sell a gagillion every year. This study uses number stolen vs. number registered, and is much more accurate.

Do people on that SL just leave the doors open and the keys in it? Not a car I would think of being stolen much.

I had a '97 SL. I wish it had gotten stolen.

Maybe thiefs figured out a use for the plastic door panels ... Or, more likely, the just figured no one would care if their saturn was stolen.

You could probably cut through the doors with an Exacto knife.

No Fords on that list either. It is also no surprise that most stolen cars are late models. I wonder how many are stolen with the keys in the ignition, running, and/or baby in baby seat in back of same.

What was the actual book value? because Saturns are no haggle dealerships, they can't move the costs of the cars to other areas. In other words, a regular dealership could offer your mom 1000, but make the $700 up by not coming down in price as much as they may have otherwise.

Saturns are most stolen due to the high demand for replacement parts.
