More Proof Toyotas are Boring

Well, Toyota master himself (Mikey Waltrip) can't even stay awake behind the wheel of a Toyota. He fell asleep at the wheel of his Land Cruiser on the way home and ran it into a pole it seems. He managed to stagger home which is good considering he hasn't been able to stagger into a race in his precious Toyota since the season started.

Mikey, drive a Ford. You won't fall asleep AND you'll make the race every week, guaranteed.

I wonder if Toyota is having any second thoughts about sponsoring M. Waltrip? So far, his race team has been a disaster in my opinion.

Not only are they boring, but they inspire lemmings to buy them in the name of "superior quality" to domestic cars.

There are many people who feel that eventually Toyota will dominate cup racing like they do truck. I for one don't see it happening all that easy. The trucks don't have anywhere near the financial commitment as the cup cars. The Chevy freight train is full throttle ahead and it'll be tough for ANYONE to take them down. It may well be impossible. The Chevy teams also have most of the best people in the business tied up. Mike Waltrip seems like a nice guy, but he was never a threat even before this with proven hardware. He's certainly not the guy to lead the charge of brand new unproven hardware.
