Did anyone get to watch Million Dollar cars on TLC, it was really good. I'm glad to hear that Saleen is the fastest production car, the Enzo would be first with 660hp but its not for production, they stopped making them and you would have to be invited to buy one. Oh and the Saleen has, if im not mistaken 550hp. It was awesome they showed the pres. of Saleen pulling up to a drive through at a local Burgerking=LOL, to show that it could be an everyday car.

The Saleen is still the fastest between the two. Production or non production.
Saleen
Top speed 240 mph
1/4 mi - 10.8@131.0
0-60 - 2.9 sec.
0-100 6.5 sec.
Ferrari Enzo
Top speed 214 mph
1/4 mi - 11.1@133.0
0-60 - 3.3 sec
0-100 - 6.6 sec
In fact it's faster than quite a few high $ autos including the following:
Ferrari F50
Lamborghini Murcielago
Maserati MC12
McLaren F1
Mercedes-Benz SLR
Porsche Carrera GT
Very good show.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, the McLaren F1 still clocks as the fastest production car ever made at 242 mph ... I don't think the S7 has quite hit that yet. Again, I could be wrong.

The Callaway "Sledgehammer" went 254.76mph after driving over 1,000 miles to the test track, then it drove home after the top speed run.
Production run of 1. More people should have ordered them![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The 2005 Saleen S7 is now Twin-Turbo (427ci) and HP is jumping to 750+ (an increase of over 200hp) in a 2750 pound car. That should help keep it at/near the top of the list.

the v12s sound terrible. way too high pitched. rather have a low rumble, but they're still awesome cars.

V12 F50 > V8

I kinda hope you're right, cause otherwise, as motor trend said it back about two augusts ago in that V8 thunder special, this saleen ain't much of a deal when compared to ford's gt. Either way, the performance numbers ponyboy is quoting and what's up on the saleen site are very impressive, much higher than what i've read before. 750hp would explain it.

Whoa, never heard that before. I can't find any info about that on www.saleen.com, or through google, and I haven't read anything about that in any of the magazines i've read over the past year. Where are you getting that from?

The 240mph top speed is a bit optimistic for the '04 model.

does that mean a significant price increase for the s7? if it can offer 750hp at its current price, then it'd be a pretty darn good deal. how much is chrysler planning on selling that ME412 for?
