Anyone else see these yet? I spotted these over on GM Inside News and was immediately impressed.
The Milan looks very good....much better than the Zephyr and a bit better than the very good looking Fusion IMHO. I like it, a lot.

Hey, the pic on the second link from the top looks to have a "tweaked" Grand Marquis front end in it. The front end is barely peaking out past the wall behind the platform the Milan is on, and the car appears to be a light green color. The headlights look different and the front bumper looks like a luxo styled take of the Marauder's old unit. After further review the entire front end appears more rounded with larger headlights and a smoother bumper!
Am I just seeing things?

yeah someone made the discovery after cheersandgears first came up with the idea (and subsequently blew the lid right off the Buick Lucerne 2 days early)
I snapped a few pics of the milan 30 minutes ago as they uncovered it and set it on the turntable. a user on autoweek caught the firstp ics of the MIlan though. The ones you linked to are ones I made. I htink its GORGEOUS! I love all three variants of the Fusion platform.

Sorry Innotech, I am certainly not trying to dodge giving credit where credit is due. Great job and good catch!
So, are you saying that is a refreshed Grand Marquis peeking out behind it?

ROFLMAO, somebody covered up the Milan. Guys, the horse left the barn a looong time ago. Too bad it took Ford 1 day and 11 hours to figure out they covered up Milan too late.

Buick did the same mistake, except not with the actual car but a very clear projection of the new Lucerne in full details on a vidscreen for all to see. The companies must have either planned this or are in serious need of staff trimming.

I said it in the Mountaineer forum and I will repeat here... I really like the design direction Mercury is taking with their cars... My girlfriend just bought a Mariner and it just has a little something about it that makes it cooler than the million and a half Escapes running around out there. MErcury is getting closer and closer to Ford's price and further from Lincoln's, which is awesome because you finally have a tough choice between the bread-and-butter Fords, and Luxurious Lincolns. Before, Mercury was always placed inbetween these two, but for no good reason. Now, they finally have something to leverage with. Cool styling, competitive pricing and cool options/appointments. Autoweek claims this will start below 20, imagine a sub-20 car with HID bulbs, LED tails, really nice styling, and we all know how great the chassis is... Throw on the 3.5 liter, AWD and the Hybrid... This car is going to get people into showrooms very, very quickly. In addition to the new Mountaineer and the Mariner Hybrid, Mercury is looking totally solid all of a sudden.

Here's another shot of the rear of the car in Black. I think thats an aluminum trim piece accross the back along the bottom of the trunk... I just don't think it showed up on the tan pics...

When I clicked on the Mitsubushi section, what is that orange car? Is that an old Charger?

I like it a LOT. Not as squared off as the Fusion, not as fussy as the Zephyr (but the Z has the best interior), the Milan is very clean and classic as it should be being named after a Italian design center. I only wish they had a V6/5spd combo. It's based off the Mazda 6 and they have that combo. But an I4/5spd with 160 HP should be more than adequate, and fun.
Finally a fun Mercury again!
