I saw this car on Top Gear last night, and I fell in love...it looks awesome, and it is powered by the 4.6 liter v8 the mustang uses! It's a pretty hot car.

With MG/Rover in Administrative help and up for sale to the highest bidder I wonder what the future of this car will be? It would be a shame if it gets axed, it looked like a really great car, but the last I heard was MG/Rover was going to be auctioned off in whole or in pieces and for all pratical purposes MG/Rover is out of business.

MG-Rover got sold to the Chinese...possibly on accident (no joke). It seems that somebody involved in the process thought thought they were selling off a portion of the company but botched it, and sold the entire thing. I will try to find a link for you.

STRANGE BUT TRUE: MG TF Sports Car Rights "Sold by Mistake"
Date Posted 06-21-2005
BIRMINGHAM, England — Bidders for the MG sports car division of collapsed British automaker MG Rover could find their plans scuttled following revelations that Rover's management sold the rights to the MG TF roadster to Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC).
The MG TF was one of the few remaining assets of value that the receivers are trying to sell, and at least three consortiums have placed serious bids for the rights to build the car. But the Financial Times has revealed that the rights to the car were transferred "mistakenly" to the Chinese automaker along with the Rover 25 and 75 sedans.
