Maybe Switching to a "Grown Up" Car
The one im lookin at is an rt max. Black, 20" chrome five spokes. Heated/cooled leather seats and cupholders, darkest legal tint all around, premium sound system with 3 12" subs in the trunk (will probably take two out and get a new box). Every option but No sunroof (real killer lol) and used with 32k miles. Dealer is askin 30k but willing to negotiate, and i talked em down to possibly 28-29k. Spotless interior, pretty good extarior appearance, just needs some TLC and itll look brand new. My mustang is worth 15k on trade in and payment would be worked down to 380 a month (lowest theyd go). Im seriously tempted.
Lol. Actually the more I think about it, a 4 door mustang would work on today's customer. While a lot of people laugh at this look how well the 4 door Dodge Charger has sold and the Porsch 4 door. Ford could make a 4 door performance mustang and it would appeal to people with kids and need the convenience of a 4 door yet still want performance. A 5.0, 4 door would so work and sell well I think. Lol
Just don't call it a Mustang. Call it a Falcon or Fairlane or Galaxy and I'm game. I'd probably never buy a new Mustang if they offered that. Keep my 03 and work on it as a weekend car, Galaxy for daily!
How about a Mustang that still looked like a Mustang but had back doors like a Mazda RX8. Might have to raise the roof line a little and make the front doors a little shorter, but access to the back seats would be okay.
I will agree with that as well. AWD SHO is an awesome car and moves out as well.
As far as the Chrysler/Dodge vehicles being crap,......I've had my Dodge Ram Daytona since it was brand new in 2005 and still going strong. Only one major problem with it which was the EVAP problem. Other than that, the truck kicks ***.
If I don't get a new Ford 4X4, it will more than likely be another new Dodge RC/SB Sport 4X4.

You guys make me laugh every time y'all mention the SHO. Give it up people. It's not in the same category and honestly is garbage. It's ugly and not in the V8 rwd category. Ford sucks by not offering a V8 rwd sedan and the Kia or Hyundai is a better option than a SHO. Hell the fusion is a better option. The GM rwd sedan platform is a solid car. Don't get it twisted with your comparison to fwd GM sedans. The chryslers are just not built to last plain and simple. I've worked on all of them. BMW and GM are really the only viable options to a V8 rwd sedan worth anything.
The end.

I don't think the SHO is a bad looking car. I just hate the packaging of the Taurus in general. It's terribly small inside for how massive the car is on the outside. I could take or leave the 3.5TT. It's definitely a quick car, but at least from my experience with that engine in the F-150s --> meh.
If honestly rather have a Maruader than a new SHO. And then I'd convert it to stick. And bag it. And Termie swap.

My 95 and 96 Impallas were also fantastic. Stick shift doesn't seem like a good idea though. Supercharger yes.
To a Ford loyalist, I see why so much is built up about the SHO. And with all the loyalists on this site, sure they point to the SHO because it's their only hope of comparison. It's all they got. I'm not loyal to any manufacturer although I really would like to stay with the Big 3. I just like cool cars and no one can honestly say that the Taurus has ever been a good looking car nor will it ever. Even the ones in the original Robocop were butt ugly. To top it off, the SHO has also never been a reliable car. That extra handling and horsepower just wears the car out even faster. So I defend my ugly and garbage statement even though it's just my opinion.

Ford, GM, Chrysler. (The Big 3)
But some people can say the same about their old Kias and Hyundais. Having worked on all makes and models for at least 15 years, I can tell you what I define as a garbage car. Just my first hand opinion only.
Are you referring to me as a FMC loyalist?! I like all cars, as well. I wasn't putting down any other car and/or manufacturer. And I suppose I should have qualified my last post as I don't care whether you (or anyone else) thinks the car is ugly. We all have our opinions on style/looks, but I will argue the "garbage" assumption all day long. The Robocop police cars from 1987 weren't SHOs, by the way. Just regular old ugly and garbage Tauruses. And our (family) SHO (2nd Generation) was flawless . . . so not all were unreliable.

Well I get Ford, I get GM but I don't get Chrysler. If you are referring to the big 3 American Car companies, its my understanding Chrysler is no longer an American automaker car company. Its owned by Fiat and Fiat is not an American automaket so the big 3 is now only the big 2. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Fiat is a European automaker and they now own Chrysler and Dodge. Therefore the Chrysler and Dodge are no longer and American automaker. There an import car now.

Do it. I thought the Max came with the sunroof hmm. But yeah I know it comes with the AC seats. What color interior? What kind of subs? Just guessing based on how many there are, they are probably cheap lol. You could sell them off and get one better one, and be louder/sound better. I say go for it man. They are really nice cars. Pre-2011 Chrysler was garbage. The new ones are nothing to scoff at.
