Great performance but too much Chris Bangle influence on the styling. There are lots of other cars I'd choose before this.

I like the overall design, not a fan of the way Bimmers drive though. I think the Bangle styling is evolving better...that or we are becoming accustomed to it.

I saw a Cayman S the other day and give the choice, I would take the Porsche...it's hot!!!!

I also saw my first Cayman S the other day and didn't care for it. The best road trip I have ever taken was in a 1992 BMW 325i from San Francisco to Ketchum, Idaho. At obscenely illegal speeds in the middle of nowhere Nevada (135) I asked my passenger, whose car it was, how fast she thout we were going. She guessed 80.

Incredibly comfortable, capable of very high speed touring, knife like steering in corners, and 27 mpg on an 1100 mile trip--just great stuff. I love the current 3 series. Not crazy about the coupe in any of it's variations. Too one dimensional a car for me.
