A better-looking alternative to the Corolla and Scion TC. Looks like the Koreans are really serious about stepping up their game in all car segments.

Such a smart idea to get the stylists and designer from Audi! The taillights o the sedan remind me so much of Audi. I'm very impressed by the Koreans' new direction and turnaround. It's makes me even more proud to be a Korean!

I test drove a Forte Koup a few weeks ago, and was actually very impressed. It's a lot nicer car for the money than the Focus Coupe that I was contemplating. It was actually very peppy and responsive. Something in the C-Pillar and tail lights from the rear 3/4 reminds me of a Volkswagen Jetta, not a bad thing in my book. My biggest drawback is the front wheel drive issue, which I would face with the Focus as well.

However, I also drove a Hyundai Genesis 2.0 Turbo the same day and given the choice, I'd buy the Hyundai Genesis. That car really reminded me of my 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Being practice though, I know insurance would be lower on the Kia.

The only problem with Koreans is their horrible resale value.

If I ever buy an import it will probably be Hyundai/Kia.

Solely for the Warranty I would buy a Hyundai/Kia. No one else comes close.

Japs made a name for themselves by copying western cars.

Now Koreans are doing the same thing, except they're also copying Japanese cars and also many western (Genesis sedan for an example).

Originality is out the window. Even the emblems on the trunk lid are mounted at the same locations.

I feel that Kia and Hyundai are the WORST when it comes to unoriginal designs. Perhaps Japanese automakers started out that way as well, but now their designs are definitely more distinct.

Copying styling cues is acceptable in moderation - trends exist in all industries. But not to the point that entire cars immediately trigger images of other makes...

That doesn't have to be a good thing.

Even the interior is more than a bit familiar if you've spent time in an 8th gen Civic. Nice cars though, certainly a step up from the Spectra.

That "A" in "Example A:" must be the A in Azztek.
