Does anyone know if chevy has a patten on the keyless start feature they have on the new vettes? I think it would be cool not to have to use a key. just have the key fob sitting in the car would be cool. Then push the button. Vrooooom!!!

I believe you mean "patent" and no I don't believe Chevy has one for it as Lexus actually has a similar setup and it was out first.

According to the Chevy website, you don't start it with the keyfob but the it does have to be in your pocket or purse. You just need to press a starter button on the steering column.

I'd rather not have this. Buy an aftermarket one, they've been around quite a long time. Ever seen a "race car"? No keys in those.
