Was cruising down the main drag here in my local community, and happened to come up behind a black car, that looked like a fairly new Monte Carlo SS. On the back of the trunk lid, on an angle, it had the word "Intimidator". This was in chrome, not painted on. Looked to me like a factory thing. It had dual exhaust, but sounded like a ricer! Wife and I could'nt stop laughing. I can't see him intimidating anyone with that. Never seen one before. Can anyone explain? [Sorry, not to hip on this new stuff]

I know they had a supercharged Jr Edition, and Jeff Gordon with Ghost Flames, but not sure of the Intimidator??

It's all show, whatever it is. Monte Carlos have V6's, and there's just something wrong with that.

It's because they are American rice burners! It's what Nascar fans that wish they had Nascar cars drive! Chevy should just make a RWD carlo with a V8! I think they will once the sigma comes out.

There was an edition of the Monte before Dale died named after him. Oh,by the way, be careful how you speak of the Intimidator,Dale Earnhardt. He is a Racing legend. The best there ever was. If Richard Petty is the King, then Dale Earnhardt was GOD.

The Dale Earnhardt Sr. one (ala The Intimidator version) was the first Nascar edition made because it was chevy's way of honoring Dale Sr. after he died in a race a few years back. All of those Nascar edition cars are just a regular MC with a different paint job. Because of that different paint job they charge about $2000 CAD more.

Earnhardt Edition

They have a new one too- comes in Jr and Sr editions. My chevy dealer has one, very droolworthy, but a FWD v6 at 28k+ ain't doing it for me.

I wonder if you can spin other cars out in this Intimidator as well as the real Intimidator could.

Not in this family car disguised as something cool......
a RWD manual v8 maybe, but Chevy is sissy, they aren't big on sports cars.

Ehhh, you could rear end and spin another car out with even a Civic. Earnhardt just knew how to do it very well without getting in trouble for it.

That's why it made it so extra sweet when he'd flip his car or get spun out himself.

I did feel bad, though, after finding out that his wreck at Daytona in 2001, one that I cheered about, ending up being his last.
