someone else posted that article already. But it doesn't make sense to me. maybe somone else can explain.
How can a Prius cost that much for its life time. Who is paying this $3.25 a mile on the Pruis. if you consumer pays $25,000 for car. and drives the 100,000 miles at say 40 mpg...so 2500 gallons of gas. which cost average $2.50 a gallon. so $6250+25,000= 31250...so 31 cents per mile. I don't think toyota is eating this additional $293k selling this car. Someone has to pay for all of this and obviously it isn't the consumer.
