now, there is an E-type coupe for sale in my area, as stated in the other thread, its nothing but body and wheels, seats, etc., so, i think to myself last night and thought this up
CRATE 5.0 V8 mated with a 6 Speed dropped in the jag......thoughts apprecieated

Dude it's an E-type... not restoring one to original should be considered a crime against humanity. :nono: To the Hague with you!!! 
In all seriousness though, if it saves an E-type from going to pot I endorse it. I haven't read the other thread, don't know what condition this Jag is in. I guess dropping a 5.0 in there is excusable (we are talking Windsor right? Not a Cammer?) if that's what your budget allows. If this is a Series I/II E-type (aka the good looking ones) you could always modify it into a replica of the old Low-drag Coupe.
