I've always like the Marauder's but they're becoming more and attractive to me.

Here's a nice one. Not a bad price either for the mileage.

Marauder

LOL. I do have gray hair already...

There is a mean looking Marauder running around here in Wyomissing. It appears to be far from stock too. I know it has a S/C. You can see the intercooler through the front valence. I just wish I could talk to the person who owns it and find out what is done to it.

I've always liked the Marauders myself. Nice, mean look and the sweet 32-valve 4.6L. If I could find one for a good price that was in excellent shape, I'd snag it. Yes, I have a few white hairs too!

Here's a pic of it. I don't know why the link isn't working correctly.

Nah, just older. When the stock Merc or Crown Vic appeals to you, THEN worry.

302 Hp @ 5750 RPM's and 318ft-lbs of Tq. @ 4250 RPM's.

Claims of 0-60 have been as low as 6.5 seconds (from what I've seen)

I love the Marauders! Though I'm not a big of fan of the chrome around the doors pillars on (I think) the last model year.

I personally think the '96 Impala SS was a better car...

The maurader was great... it just seemed something was missing to me.

Every Sunday at church, I see this 'little old lady' driving a green Impala SS to church the thing is immaculate. I want it.

The marauder engine is same as the Mach 1 right?

I never did like the looks the Caprice/Impala. It was the melted jellybean look to max and it just didn't look right to me. The SS engine however was very nice.

If Ford was smart they'd put the '03/'04 Cobra Motor and auto tranny from the soon to be SVT Sport Trac into a new Marauder. I would purchase one in a heart beat.

302HP wasn't bad but 390 would have made the Marauder a beast!

You guys really need to drive one if you havent. They have a smooth ride like a CV, but slightly better handling. I'd say on par with a police interceptor CV. The 4v is very similar to a mach1, but i think it has the cam profiles from the lincoln aviator, to give it a bit more low end trq. it gets up to speed rather well and runs 90+ cruise speeds with ease.

I watched a maruader with a KB on it at the track run consistent low 12's on street tires, kicking sideways each run when it shifted into 2nd. The tranny is a 4r70w like in 99-04GT's, so it can be tuned to get alot more performance out of it.
