Sad but true that supercars now a days are trying to take the driver ability out of the equation. To me it doesn't make much sense, I can go to my local amusement park if I want to ride a roller coaster for much cheaper. To me a lot of the fun of a car is mastering the ability to use it to its potential.

I'm sure they are still lots of fun. Plus if you're one of the millionaires that can afford a supercar, you probably didn't get rich racing. Who needs driver ability when you're filthy rich?

See a fair number of these running around. Not really a fan, but they are capable beasts.

There's a guy who owns a local Shell gas station that drives a black one. My friend said he rode in one on a short 35 mph road and the guy went 90+. I can't remember how much he said the tires costed each, but it was ridiculous.

To me the most amazing thing about the GTR is just how much power the stock engine and drive train can handle. The AMS Alpha 9 package, which as I understand it is basically just a turbo upgrade makes 850 hp on 93 octane or 950 hp on 110 octane with stock internals.

And with built internals and a 4.0l displacement the freaking thing makes well over 1000hp. That's ridiculous.

Yeah, the GT-R is an awesome, if slightly portly, performer that's also a bit of a Butter Face -- "Everything's nice but her face."

Can't help but hate it but you also cannot deny its capabilities. I'd say under $100k, its the car to have bar none. As much as I love the GT500 and defend it in these discussions, the GT-R can really make it look almost toyish by comparison. Different cars completely but still.
