I prefer the stock look to that.

 

I really like the charger and the front of the GTO is great (grille reminds you of the original). The side/body of the GTO looks very bloated and plain though.

But there is no doubt this kid has talent.

...Doug, your Judge is still my favorite!

Is it just me, or does it look like the GTO was in a bad accident? (Like the whole front end was pushed in)

The tach on the hood idea died in the 60's for a very good reason. Still, it's good to see creativity at work.

 

I agree. I was around for the original Judge and while this doesn't really get my juices flowing, it's an improvement on what I consider an insipid design.

 

Kris's GTO looks like poo on wheels. Heck I perfer the real GTO over that thing anyday. Gees did Kris actually have to make the real GTO look good... that this happened to a guy at such a young age... Poor bastard should never render again because of that crappy design. Such a shame.

 

Methinks that's a little harsh. Without innovation and designers pushing the envelope, all we'd have to look at is the jelly bean Taurus and the Camry. Give the kid an A for effort.

Harley Earl took some flak for his P-38 inspired fins on post WWII Cadillacs and they turned out OK.

 

Seeing as how I like all of Kris's other works I think it's prefectly fine for me to be a little harsh is I want to be. He is only 19 maybe 20 now. He's the same age as me and I was designing a GTO like the one that BM designed. In fact BM's design came from first my Judge then Chaz's redesign. So yes I think I can be a little harsh like seriously tell me do you like the way that thing looks? Like really do yah? I'm surprised Kris made it look like that. Granted he tried to do retro, but very modern at the same time, but you don't need to screw the design up like that to make it look awsome. As I said look at BM's version of the GTO Judge. It's very much the GTO design that is already out but, so it's modern, but it still has retro qualities to make it look like a real GTO.

 

I still Like Doug's waaaaay better.
