Miraculous!

Today there was a nose-to-tail chain reaction crash involving a pickup, 4 semis, and a Mazda 3. The 3 was in line with the semis. I guess you can imagine where this is going...

Miraculously the driver was pried out of the car 2 hours later with only a cut on his head. I'm guessing he ducked.

Fellow Canucks should be able to view the news clip here.
You can also read about it here, and here.

Wow, that is rather astounding! As there were no pics of the guy walkin' about, I kinda want to call shenanigans, but guess I really shouldn't.

Amazing.

If he were a cat, he just used up all of his nine lives in that one. Good thing this wasn't a Camaro...

So it turns out that he didn't exactly get out of it without a few fractures, but he is doing well and should make a complete recovery. He was interviewed for today's paper. It turns out that the REAL miracle is that his wife and kids were supposed to have been in the car with him!

From today's story

" 'Oh s---.' That's the last thing I said to myself.
Then, after two hours working the jaws of life, firefighters pulled Glowacki out, seemingly unscathed.

In fact, Glowacki suffered burns - mostly to his face, arms and legs - plus multiple broken bones in his spine, arm and neck.

"Thank God I wasn't driving anything bigger. If it was an SUV, I would have been cut in half.

"When the firefighters pulled me out I saw the license plate of the truck behind me - that's when I realized it was this close to my head," Glowacki said, holding his thumb and forefinger about a centimetre apart.
