I know you guys are up there, but this is unchartered territory for the midwest. I don't even want to look at the price of premium. It used to be 20cents more than regular, now it's been much higher.

Over $19.00 to fill up a motorcycle? That's nutty. I'm only 30 y/o and I remeber filling up my truck for $12.00. Oh, the good old days when gas was 79cents. What's the inflation rate from 79cents to $4.00 in 12 years?

My driving habits have not changed at all. I just charge my clients travel time now to make up for the increasing gas prices. You guys keep complaining about gas prices that are around $4.00/gallon. I am paying close to $5.00/gallon for 87 octane

I know what you mean. I am only 36 and I remember paying $0.53/litre 20 years ago (****, now I feel old). Now I'm paying $1.26/litre.

Actually with our dollar being at par with the US for quite some time now, most things are close to costing the same. I rarely shop in the US now, only when I can't find something over here.

I haven't changed much, but there already was not much I could change. I still have to drive 30 miles each way to work...no telecommuting for me.

I still drive the same amount that I did before. I don't like paying more for gas, but what else am I going to fuel my car with?

now that I have moved out of the city...I have to consolidate my trips in for groceries, bank, appointements and such..I also have started to drive little slower and coast more

I dont go on as many joy rides as I used to. I try to drive the Vette as much as I can because the Mustang gets less than 20 MPGs and the Vette gets almost 30. The Mustang only gets driven on bad days and to school.

I drive just like I always have. I never put more than 5 gallons in my tank and I keep her as light as possible but not for gas milage

Gas will be above $5 a gallon by the end of summer. and I might try and do a little more telecommuting. but this car is for fun. I didn't buy it to save on gas. I bought it to keep a smile on my face out on the road, and it does it's job very well. The game had to change sometime for the big gas hogging cars. hopefully we will adapt quickly and be better off in the long run. meanwhile I will drive it like I stole it and pay more for the pleasure. when I can't afford to drive it daily I will drive it on weekends...like I stole it

It seems that OPEC is now a world power.
I've called off a couple of summer trips.My wife and I stay home a lot more during the week and only travel into town when necessary.I try and minimize my trips on the way home if we need to shop.We only go out on the weekends for dinner and movies and make it a one night event.
I have an 06' Freestyle which is averaging 24mpg in town/hiway and I only use that during the week.My Mustang is for weekend use only and getting the same fuel mpg as the Freestyle.
I'm buying a scooter just for trips to the grocery store and small errands. I just hope OPEC doesn't impose another embargo.

Not quite, though my Dad has changed his driving habits and is now astounded with the mileage he gets

He got a speeding ticket a few weeks abck, so he drives 65 or less everywhere now. He loves it

Haven't changed at all. No more spur of the moment trips driving 100 miles each way for some good barbeque anymore, but my truck has about 16,000 miles after 24 months and my Mustang has 4,000 miles after 11 months. I don't use much gas. And the gas in my truck is company paid for. Sure our company's gas bill has increased somewhat, but guess what, price just gets passed on to the customer. **** I love capitalism.

I don't drive the Mustang much. I've only used a 1/4 tank on two weeks. I mainly use the Protege for everything and walk more to nearby places. I love my 1.6L Protege!
