Has anyone seen the new Charger commercial?
I caught this last night as it was the first time I could actually hear it but I just thought it was hilarious. Me kind of being a geek of sorts I thought their tag line of "be ware of the human resistance" was awesome!
Now seeing the car in the commercial I am really liking the body. I still think it's too chunky but still I like it. I was thinking yesterday (in my Civic of all things) about the Americana that the Charger represents. With the Crown Vic making a dismal effort in its life to resurrect the love for big power sedans in the US, the Charger really stands alone and screams America.
I don't know, just my opinion. Just because Chrysler and GM have let me down, it doesn't mean that I don't want them to succeed a little. Even I don't want to be dependent on Honda to give me inexpensive fun and insane reliability with modestly good looks. I am stoked about the new Focus, Fiesta, Cruze and whatever else is in that market. Car prices have gone up and the income hasn't adjusted in the average American home, to keep up with this inflation. My dad and I were just talking about how he paid less than $20K for his Caprice in 95 and how value like that just isn't found these days.
Well, this took a turn I didn't expect.

Its a very clever commercial. I love the look of the new charger. I think it's a lot more refined and streamline than the old one. Just give it a 6 speed manual! and get rid of that old 5 speed auto for the 8 speed already! (i think its an 8 theyre putting in)
