Ive seen plenty of videos posted of some really dumb stuff that nobody has been arrested for.
Free pass for the prosecution, because the police in charge of that stretch were probably sitting in a rest area bsing with some other cops.

Meh, youtube is littered with these things, I saw a vid with a guy running his Ford GT(40) flat out, deep into the 200 mph range. Somebody had it in for this guy. I really cant believe a concerned citizen just out of the blue decided to do the "right" thing.

IMO, yeah kinda silly tearing down the highway in traffic. That said, empty road have fun, just dont whine about being a quadraplegic if something should go terribly wrong.

i guess it pays off to be paranoid nowadays, although common sense would dictate not to record yourself breaking the law in extremes .

 

They don't really HAVE to catch you. A group coming from the Texas mile last year got out on the highway and opened it up, passing an off duty DEA agent in the process. He phoned it in to DPS and they stopped the group many miles down the road, well after they had returned to legal speed. Lucky for them the cop was cool about it, but he still had to write the tickets. All you need is a witness to call it in and then testify.

Had the same thing happen a couple of times during the Houston Performance Driving group drives to Galveston.

Blaming the cops for not being there? Seriously??? Get a clue. Was mommy everywhere all the time to make sure you didn't get in trouble? Was she a bad mother if she wasn't hovering over you 24-7... even when you're in your 20's? Puhlease.

 

I dont have it out with law enforcement by any means. I was going to actually join the police academy when i was younger, but instead I sustained a leg injury so I was not able to do that.
I also shoot combat with many leo's at my local gun range, and believe it or not, I hold a great respect for thier job.
And that is my point, its thier JOB to catch ******** like this guy. How would your boss feel if instead of you dong your job, you were off bsing with fellow employees?
I have had many fast cars and in the 15 years I have been driving, I have only recieved one speeding ticket, and a couple of seat belt tickets. I respect leo's that do thier job!!
