Tony..no..the Dodge blue is not the same. The old Dodge blue, yes similar, but the new Dodge blue? No. It's a lighter and metallic paint. No. Just no. However, after watching the video again (ugh) I think it might be a one-off from that completely crap tonneau cover. If that's what GM is really offering to the public though, bwhahahhaa wow. Watch as Mustang vert sales climb and the Camaro gets discontinued again. I just don't think GM would let their followers down like that, so I'm hoping it's a one-off. However, GM obviously paid for the product placement in this (God-awful, and if you admit to liking it, hand over the keys to your 5.0 and your man-card...you don't deserve them anymore ) show, so why wouldn't they place an actual production version in the closeup? We all know there have been production ready Camaro verts out there for oh...I don't know...2 years now?

Just seems fishy. And that Camaro in the video is dead on GB. Case closed.

 

I'm not saying it's the same!! People are accusing Camaro of ripping the color when in fact Dodge first reintroduced a version of it way before grabber was even a thought.

Is it the same- no, if you were to make it into a a crayon and put them next to each other they'd be close. If you want to go ahead and analyze it under a microscope and the polymers of it's makeup and that nonsense you're missing my point.

All I know is this, grabber blue on the camaro looks friggin awesome and I hope gm goes with it.

Well i wouldn't care if it were just another bright blue like the dodge. I've seen that one in person and while it might look similar in pictures, in person they aren't that close because of the metallic flake/pearl in the dodge's blue

Yeah, the body lines to work much better as a vert than a coupe.


But the antenna still looks like a tail

 

I thought the antenna looked more like a pile of crap. And then they have the CHMSL and spoiler mounted on the trunk too. That's way too many...things...mounted to the trunklid.

 

I'm surprised they don't have a george foreman grill mounted back there...

That antenna does look like garbage but the vert does look much nicer than the coup. Were i feel the Mustang coup looks better than the vert.

 

That's certainly a weird color choice for a Camaro. Did Camaros ever sport a Grabber Blue-like color (non-metallic, baby blue) historically?

Seeing pics of that Challenger makes me wish Ford would offer an Acapulco Blue for the Mustang again.

 

No It didn't, the brightest color they had was Hugger Orange but Ford by no means had a bright grabber type color all to themselves. AMC used a color called Big Bad blue on the AMX and Javelin in 1969-70 I beleive and it was very similar in shade.

I'm a tad baffled as to why panties are in a wad over GM using this color.

 

i think the camaro looks even worse as a vert. it's pretty much a box with a windshield on it
