Wow...I haven't posted here in forever...

Anyway I heard today that Ford had decided to kill of the Lightning? WHY FORD WHY!?!

Is this true :shock:

Yes, it is true. According to SVT, they are focusing all their attention on the new SVT Cobra. I'm just as sorry as you are.

Actually what they said is the Lightning is on hiatus, which implies it will return in the future.

That's what I've always heard but I've heard recently they were totally killing it off

i think i'd rather see the Lightning go on hold rather than the Mustang come out less than wha it could have been due to stresses over other SVT models

Glad to see I was missed

After the production mustang came out I didn't visit the site so much...but I've been talking with my parents and I'm planning of a new '06 GT for a graduation present B)

I've also been spending a lot of time at the site in my sig. I was voted Mascot about a month ago

I saw on "Trucks" this morning that the lightning has been discontinued.

yeah but the SVT Mustang is supposedly going to be an 06 and debut in a couple of months in New York, so does that mean that the next lightning might come out in 06, but I have deffinately heard the same thing that the lightning is merely postponed and Ford confirmed this a while back when everyone was in an uproar about them canning it and sent them letter after letter. But check out what I came across on the whipple supercharger site for the new mustang, scroll down to "whipple features" and read about the cars that this supercharger is in, it says the 06 Lightning, Do they know something we don't?
