I was watching the Barrett-Jackson Auction Saturday night, and low and behold, a brand new 2005 Ford GT comes across the block. It was Midnight Blue, NO center racing stripes, standard wheels, and by the looks, the standard color calipers. It stated in the description, that it is the only GT to have the new control arms for the suspension, and can be driven that day. The car was from a dealership, but the pics on Barrett-Jackson's site had the dealership name blurred out in the picture. All in all, after you add in the 8% the buyer has to pay B-J, the total before tax came to $302,400 Puts into perspective why the dealers who listed their cars on ebay have high reserves fior them. If you can get $280,000, why ask for $225,000. The car is still a bargin in the supercar realms, especially to service.

Thanks for the tidbit on the control arms. I was wondering about that.

It is awesome. It is cheap compared to a Ferrari Enzo and is MUCH better looking, and its a FORD and its American so parts dont cost AS much but prolly close if they are even obtainable.
