Dodge readies Solstice-fighting roadster
#22
I like both the Solstice and the Sky(the Sky more though) and to be honest the only thing that detracts me from wanting one is the vert top. That thing is a PITA to put up and down, fix this and you will have an easier time selling them. Though just from a design stand point the Solstice and Sky look way better then the current Miata. Now from a mechanical and functional stand point the Miata is a way better car. Oh and I found this additional pic of the Razor concept from Dodge and it doesn't look too great from this angle IMHO.

I've got to disagree on this. IMO, the Miata has a clean, uncluttered look to it. I think it's the best looking Miata ever.
As for the Solstice selling more, 2007 will be a telling a year. We'll see if it continues to sell at the same pace now that the "new" has worn off of it.

The other interesting item of note is that Silverado sales are down 3.3% on sales-days adjusted basis. That doesn't sound too great for a hot new product.

They made a 2 seater concept like that called the copperhead about ten years ago. If they had brought it out five years ago they probably woulda snagged a lot of the sales that GM is getting now.
