Dodge Challenger...gets approved (Merged Threads)
I just hope that they do stay true to the concept. Was dissapointed with Ford on how they changed the shelby from concept. Kinda funny how the GT-H has the Shelby name under the third light but the GT500 has it awkwardly off to the left side. Fingers are crossed that this announcement will force Ford to bring out a Boss.
As much as I like my mustang, this car is even hotter. Too bad it wasn't available a year ago. Looks like I might just have to hang on to my $$ instead of buying mods. It'll be interesting to see how close the production model comes to the concept. let's hope they don't mess it up with a crazy tiptronic-manumatic.

and maybe to satisfy the 6 banger quota they can bring back the tough ol' "slant six" while they are at it

If I somehow managed to make a lot more money in the next few years, this car would be very appealing to me, but only if offered with a manual transmission
i still dont see them coming close to the price range of the stangs. i payed 24 something for my fully loaded GT and if they do plan on putting that hemi in there with 400+ HP they are going to have to leave out all the extras and frills to keep the price in the mid 20's or there going to end up well in the 30's and in my book you would then be compairing apples to oranges with the stang and the challenger
i dont know its 6 am and im tired so ill wait till it comes out and see lol

until chevy and mopar build these things in the price range of the stang, they will lose in sales, although they will be better in all performance aspects

i think this is great news, competition for the 'stangs, but im sketchy on the whole final production model. we'll have to wait and see.....
I hope you folks that think that you'll be able to get one of these with the Big Hemi under 30 grand are planning on waiting a few years and getting a used one. Look at the prices of the SRT 300, Charger, Magnum. They are pushing 40K+. Maybe one of the 340 horse Hemi's for close to 30 grand No way in hell DC is gonna sell a 420 horse power Challanger for under 30k I love my GT, but if they do sell it with a manual tranny under 30 grand, I'll be standing in line to get one. Figure on 22-26k for a V6, 30-35k for a 340 horse and 36-45k for the Big Hemi.
It would look badass with a tubbed rear end.
