hmm...I'm surprized the Avenger didnt go AWD...you know...since the fusion has that option an all...maybe its in the future plans

Which makes this even more incredible. Perhaps the Dodge faithful are assuming that there will be no awd simply because they haven't heard that it is and don't wish to assume anything? Or, potentially, the car is simply a wishful figment of somebody's imagination.
Either way, the fact that anybody would build a ~400hp car on a fwd chassis which already offers awd as an option, but not include that in the deal, is just inexplicable. I know that Dodge did much the same with the Caliber SRT4 claiming that the awd system simply wasn't up to the task. But that car is packing around 100hp less so it's a bit more excusable.

Exactly. Any of these projects - including Challenger - could easily get the axe as Cerberus Capital Management tries to make good on its promise to get the company back to profitability. Low volume, minimal margin cars like Challenger could easily end up on the chopping block.
