I ended up racing a Dodge 2500 turbo diesel this weekend. He kicked my butt. The first time I did it just to see. Then I accidentally got matched up against that guys dad in the same truck. he laughed after the race and said; "Nice to beat you."
My wife said he won every race he was in. She said people called him smoke.

I know this is pretty sad, but just think about this. I'm very sure that with that truck, he'd ALSO smoke the likes of Porsche, Viper, Corvette, and others that would basically be dumfounded.
Let's face it. That is one FAST BUTT (non-stock) truck!

I just called my grandfather and it looks like im going to be spending the summer with him restoring a 1967 f100 and he said that he will let me take his cummins out for a "spin" :P He recently replaced the turbo in it so im sure its gonna be a blast!!!

i know a guy who is running 27psi on a stock duramax and claims 1k hp... i hate gm though, but a 7.3 in town has dual stacks froma peterbuilt, a 4 inch lift, 35 inch tires, its a normal cab long bed, has alls orts of chrome goodies, and a turbo upgrade, 800hp before the propane at the wheels and over 1200ft lbs before the propane shot

I just got off the phone with him and he said he is running about 25 lbs of boost and it has about 750hp.You would never guess it by looking at the truck its a 1999 and last summer he drove his backhoe into it so it looks like someone shot it.

It amazes me how much you can do to those diesels for not much money. I was watching Two Guys Garage one day while they were adding a programmable computer to a Cummins equipped diesel, and were dialing it down so it added "only" 80hp and ~150lb-ft. The computer was around $500, I think.
Compare that to what I'd like to do with a Mazda6 Wagon if I get one...put on a CP-E cold-air intake and MAF Customizer for $550, with a gain of around 20hp. Headers, for the same price, add about 15hp.
BTW, next Wednesday I'll start work at the Indiana Cummins plant which produces the Dodge Ram and ISB series (bus and RV) engines. On June 20, we're shutting down the plant for a week to get some things done, including adding four 'cold test' bays to supplant the 'hot test' bays, until the cold ones are working perfectly. In cold testing, the engine isn't actually running...it's just spun with an electric motor. You can tell more about how the engine's working, however.

kool, but the diesel is called a Cummins diesel like a triton 5.4 8 in a ford , not a cummins equipped diesel, lol.

That meant to say, "Cummins equipped Dodge." Oops!
