'Cool Yugo'. Sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it? But 315hp is respectable.

Taking Yugo's 1.3L engine that only makes 64 hp and making it 315 hp does take a lot of time, work and $$$. And stock Yugo only weights 2,000 pounds, this one weights even less.

Absolutely completely nuts.

I like it.

Will that kind of torque and horsepower peel the sheetmetal back on a holeshot though? Very possible on a Yugo.

How did they keep it from rusting into small brown flakes before they finished with it?

Where I'm from there are many Yugos like that (maybe not with twin turbo), because they are cheap to build and very light, so with 140 hp or so Yugo can just as fast as cars with a lot more horsepower.
Few years ago car and driver did a story on Yugo called "Corvette killer". It was faster than 'Vette Z06.

Green Yugo have 140 hp. I saw videos of owner driving it.

Yeah, its somewhere in the USA, but I don't know where exactly.

Owner of red Yugo is also owner of white Yugo Convertible, yellow Lamorghini Gallardo and I think he also have Yugo Limo. I'll post some pic when I get home.

Owner of red Yugo also owns these 2 cars.

I'm not sure, but I think he also owns this Yugo Limo.

I would've done the same thing but I would prefer Yugo Scala 101 instead of regular Yugo.

When I went to the Speedway I saw a POS looking Yugo. Rusty brown colored, and really beater looking.
Seeing it fly down the track with an 11 sec ET was priceless.

Yugo stopped importing their cars to the USA in 1991 so they're hard to find in good condition (they're hard to find in general).
All Yugos in this topic (except green one which is located in Serbia) are located in the USA and they're fully restored. I think that owner is currently living in Louisiana.

I'm sure whoever owns those Yugos has a pretty hefty net worth and isn't concerned with depreciation. Can you say next to nothing resale value? I knew you could.
