I really loved this quote "It even makes the Solstice feel like a half-*** effort". I definately want to test drive one when they finally get here.

I like it. If I needed a bigger car with 4 doors, I would have no problem including that in my list of cars to compare and test out. With 15/24 mpg it would be comparable to the 'Stang.
I can't believe the price either, that is a lot of car for a little bit 'o $$!!

Slow!? Low to mid fives to 60 and the quarter mile in the high 13's and nearing 105mph? For a fairly large, full sized, fully featured 4 door sedan with a slushbox? For under $30k base?
Personally, I think this thing is astounding and a remarkable bargain. Heckfire, it's barely a tick behind a well driven Stang accelerating, will probably handle better on all but the smoothest roads thanks to its IRS suspension (how'd Pontiack manage IRS for less than the $5K Ford insisted it would jack the Stang's price?), has a lot more interior and looks sharp too.
And it only costs a little more than a Stang GT!
And Pontiac is strongly intimating that they will bring out a stick shift version that will likely have even more motor (Vette's LS# at around 430hp?)
Personally, I think Pontiac will have a huge winner here and Ford has absolutely nothing remotely approaching it.

Yeah, I said slow. Don't take one word and make it overshadow the rest of the statement. How about, not fast enough to overcome the blah factor. Sorry that a big 4 door GM sedan w/ dated styling doesn't impress me.
