Chevy's Secret 2010 Impala
Is it just me, or does it seem lately like GM is really undergoing a product renaissance...?

I like this. But what I don't like is:
As much as I loved the GTO, because of the simple rebadgeing it did not sell well... This could be potentially a very bad move for Pontiac.
Unlike the Grand Prix, which is being pitched as a mildly tweaked version of the all-new Australian-designed and engineered Holden Commodore
Concepts alweays change in appearance, once the bean counter's get hold of the build cost sheets. What's more interesting is that they are considering the RWD. They know they need to do drastic change, and soon also.
I really don't understand why car companies release future model concepts so far in advance. i know chevy isnt doing well in the sales department, and it's to their advantage to create any excitement with the brand that they can. It's just that when companies talk about plans to build a car 4 or 5 or 6 years from now, it's just too far in the future.
I dont think any car is potentially great enough to be thoroughly exciting through 5 years of R&D. I think people just get kind of burned out on the idea of the new model well before it is actually released. Sometimes news of new models gets out against the companies wishes, but too often, in my opinion, companies will use a crude concept to generate brand excitement. In the end it just hurts the car's chance for success, because people get tired of waiting for it to actually be released years later.
Okay, rant over...

Agreed...I guess it just seems that Chevy is trying to build a domestic Honda/Toyota and slapping that butt ugly front end on it.
The car doesn't have a personality, but it has a bunch of cool design elements slapped on it. The rear end is slick and for some reason those taillights remind me of a bentley continental gt. That big plastic grille doesn't fit in with the rest of the car, should be chrome/painted or smaller.
I dig the back...but not the front
