All I remeber him saying was that they were targeting the vette, and testing it against a Z06. Doesn't mean it'll outperform it, but its good to know they're setting the bar high.

And some members on here were already speculating the new GT500 has IRS thanks to some of the spy pics....I still cannot tell

 

Sounds like these might be collector items if someone had some cash and a barn to store them in.

 

I highly doubt the GT500 will compete with the current Z06, even with a weightloss and power gain.
2 VERY different cars, each great in their respective categories.

 

Me too, but I like the fact that they're trying. They're really too different to compare except for their high hp

 

Dealer near me is still asking 9-10k over MSRP for a GT500 - heh, tried a few weeks ago to work something out on a nice Vista Blue GT500, but no dice, gonna be heading back in a few months myself.
