Is Chevrolet Considering a Raptor Fighter?

http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2009/10...r-fighter.html

In a GM video posted on YouTube (see the :06 second mark), asking viewers to vote for their favorite Camaro graphics package for SEMA, a rendering of a 'Chevrolet Silverado Baja Off-Road Version' can be seen behind Adam Barry, Lead Creative Designer, GM Accessory Studio. The pickup features a high stance and six-spoke wheels that take us back in time to the 1988-98 four-wheel drive Chevrolet C/K.

I'm not worried. I don't think GM in its current condition could muster much of a fight for the raptor. Just my .02 cents.

Rolling on dubs with a low profile offroad tire.
Looks like a mall crawler.

it'd be like the camaro, their response to the mustang..hastily put together, and super crappy quality

Since they are now Government Motors, there is NO WAY the Government would allow a new truck that gets bad gas mileage to be brought out. They need to focus on core cars and not niche lines.

GM has No good looking trucks and about 6 years of research to even think about the raptor. Ford came out of nowhere with the raptor and has a HUGE lead on anyone. Fords got nothing to worry about.

It's probably just something they built for SEMA.

I agree with this statement and would like to copyright the term mall crawler. Perfect description!

I just realized that it looks like they're going to use a camaro interior for that truck :wacky:

By the time GM comes out with their competitor, the Raptor will already be dead. GM needs to focus on products that will actually sell.
