came across this as well...so I guess 20 min. of hard driving will melt a Camaro's clutch? Can the same be done to a Mustang?

Holy Shiat, I would pitch a fit if I found out something like that was done to my car! I feel bad for the guy, even if it is a Camaro.

Wow! That is an amazing story. Thanks for sharing. I have an old cassette recorder that turns on when it hears noise, but getting a digital one could be helpful in situations like this.

This story frustrates me, no integrity what so ever! They should make those dirtbags working on the car buy it!

I really feel for that guy. Those techs should pay with their ability to EVER work in the trade again.

Similar story. Had a friend catch the OWNER of a well renowned auto detailing shop in Royal Oak Mi. joyriding in his 2012 Caddy CTS-V wagon. Twice he saw the shop owner doing stoplight burnouts before he caught up to him and read him the riot act. It happens people. Be wary of whom you leave your baby with.

Anybody remember the techs that took a then new Terminator for a joy ride? IIRC the techs and the owner were members of Mustangworks.com and the techs were bragging about how they ragged the car and the owner got wind of it (I cant remember how they outed themselves???). Also IIRC the techs were fired and that was about the end of it.

This incident with the Camaro reminds me of that which only increases my paranoia whenever I drop my car off anywhere to get it worked on.

I find it amusing that the article says the dealer is thinking of suing the car owner for the audio tape but has also bought the car back.

Those techs had no expectation of privacy inside that persons car. Period.

I'd like to know the details though as to why he thought he needed to record them in the first place and what he used to record them. Something must have given him the idea to do it.

Had my car into the dealership body shop and i found footprints on the back floor. Went ballistic, had a shouting match with the manager. My dealership gives a lifetime powertrain warranty if they service the car. They will never see my car again.
