Cars with greatest sense of camaraderie between owners
Cars with greatest sense of camaraderie between owners
In my opinion, the best thing about owning a Mustang is the great sense of community I feel from every Mustang owner I come across. I look forward to seeing another Mustang on the street and just giving them a friendly wave, it makes my day.
What does everyone think are the cars (besides Mustangs of course
) that create the greatest sense of camaraderie between their owners?

Charger owners seem pretty united. A couple of guys in my Apt. have some. One is a sweet Srt8. They have invited me to some of their meet n greets but haven’t gone yet. They have their buddies over a lot for BBQ and stuff and seem pretty cool.
Well, Mustangers for one. I also notice a lot of classic Beetle owners stick together. Actually when it comes to the classics a lot of owners stick together with the other owners of that model regardless of what they may be.
Check out www.alfabb . If you've never owned one, driven one, or even noticed one you can't imagine the passion that they generate among Alfisti. It's a very different car from a Mustang but it's the car I liked best of all the cars I've owned. Some day I'll have another one.
Mustangs for sure - but I'm biased in this regard.
Can be any car, as long as there's a group of like-minded people who happen to like them. There's even a Scion xB crew rolling around out here - not to my taste, but you get the picture...

I gotta agree with Mustang owners having the best comroderie, and I have a good story about it. I am in a BIG local group from BadMustangsClub.com. In our region, the Mid-Atlantic, we have about 25-30 members who always are up for shows, cruise nights, bbq's, you name it. This day, we had 14 of us go to a Corvette & regular Car Show at Classic Chevy in NJ. Had a blast and the club running the show had fun with us. A few weeks later at another show, one of the Vette owners saw a few of us at this show and were amazed how many we get to come out, how we represent the club, the car and have fun. The Vette guys from the Classic Chevy show want us back next year, and may put in a special Mustang class for us, as evendent by the turnout. Some of the Vette people were envious saying they don't even have this much fun. Over there, were all family (holiday parties, picnics, off season things to do). Goes to show you the Mustang owners have the most fun.
birds of a feather ,,, i like the new mustangs but i dont hang with them ..and most of them dont notice me in my 69 .. lots of mustang owners today in my opinion just want whats cool at the moment .. lots of them were camaro or firebird owners i suppose . if they dont put out that new camaro or challenger soon people will be tired of it before they even get one .

The camaraderie was pretty good when the S197 was new. I got mine in the summer of 2005, so they were still fairly new, still selling for over MSRP, so most people who had them were "enthusiasts". Now there are *TONS* of them on the road. I see like 15 a day. I think it's "just a car" to a lot of those owners; never been to a forum, never been to a meet, never been on a cruise.
I think cars with a lot of history should come with pamphlets with the owners manual that explains the car's history, the community etiquette, and maybe even suggest a few online communities. That would be cool..

Jeep CJs are #1...crazy loyalty!
Mustangers... when I got my 07 I was waving all over the place.. NOBODY waved back. Beginning to think they all jerks around here.
Usually us old guys running 73 and older muscle/pony cars will wave to each other no matter the make and model...not too many running around on the streets any more.
