Cars with greatest sense of camaraderie between owners
All the "cult" cars like the original VW's and minis, Jeeps, Fieros etc. Theres comradarie in the musclecar groups such as mopar nuts, GM and ford nuts but I dont find them as tightly weaved as they will even have inter-nameplate feuds but the others don't care they stick together.

Yeah, Harley Davidson owners are really tight, as are the Jeep CJ owners around here. Im all the time getting cards on mine of ppl asking me to joing the local clubs, and everyone waves to each other. I hate to agree, but I think that slowly people are getting Mustangs that dont appreciate their value and history, and view them as just another car [shudders]. Its always nice to have someone wave at you, because its so uncommon anymore, it doesnt even have to be someone driving the same car as you, just wave if you like their car. I always do...because I like it when people wave at me, makes me appreciate my car even more. And the guys that drive classic muscle, or classic cars around here, we all wave at each other.
no question, hands down. best guys to run into, and my favorite car people to talk to
watercooled VW guys.
Doesnt matter the generation, the stuff done to it, what your doing. they are the nicest, most cult like lovers of their cars, and thats who i hang with. i still attend waterfest even though i dont have a vw anymore. hell they're forum has the HIGHEST traffic of all automotive forums. good ole vortex

They have to stick together. You gotta figure, anyone who owns an Aztek is probably a GM employee w/ their company car. Yugos and Pacers have to stick together in case anyone needs parts. And Windstars, well... what can I say?

Not quite but they are cult like in that they share the same passion, dedication, and devotion to their marque. Ever been to one of their events? Think because you are a car guy you can hang with them? Not unless you say your VW is at home or in the shop even then if you dont speek their nomenclature they are going to look at ya funny.
When I first got my stang I got waved at by a few other stangers. The vintage of theirs didn't seem to matter. I thought that was cool so I started waving at every mustang I saw. Seems like more are waving now, and I've been aproached in parking lots etc. so many times I've lost count. Met some great folks that way. Amazing how a common thread will bring people together. I plan on keeping mine a long time. I still love it as much or more than the day I got it. Oh yeah, and to the point of the original poster, I agree with most that have been mentioned already. I went through a VW stage years ago and that fraternity was incredible.
The original post said "camaraderie" not **** heads
I find most Vette owners to be stuffy stuck-ups (except the older guys
)
I am with Jeff on this one, I always do my best to wave and beep to all the others I see. Sometimes I beep and they wave back sometimes they don't, but the ones that don't usually beep and wave the next time we cross and do the same to others. It's great to feel like your apart of something and if you don't believe me feel free to join us at a show, it's awesome
I'm sorry to hear about the misguided Mustang owners who you've run into. If I saw your car driving down the road, I'd turn around and follow your car till you stopped, so I could check her out. Your right about the cool at the moment thought. Some will most likely trade their GT's in for Challengers, but for the most part alot of us are keeping the cars for a LONG TIME to come (I know I am).
