C6 Z06 info
Oh Well I expect the SVT Shelby Special Edition or whatever they will end up calling it to have the Ford GT 5.4L 550rwhp 520 lb ft. of tq. engine. That engine will fit the new body with ease and it will tear the Z06 a new one.

I want to know why that little quote blurb compared a two-seater GT car to a luxo-sport sedan.

Sorta OT: Saw a red C6 yesterday on the interstate

I was at a dealership looking at one last week, still trying to think about which Vette model I like better, and an older gentleman with a silver C5 coupe drove his car up to the C6. That sold me on looking for a nice used C5. The C6 is very "Caddy-inspired" with sharp lines while the C5 is rounded. Think of it like the difference between the "rounded" 94-94 Mustang compared to the 99+ "new edge look". Both looked good but the curves did me in. B)
lol, whenever the filters kick in, i totally don't think of it, and i just think some people on this board have vary curious choices of vocabulary, like "hiney" and "female dog".
Mustang with 500hp, cool, lets do it. Didn't we hear some dude way back when saying the various mustang models would range up to a $60K model? Even if its only like 450 or 475, i'd be pretty happy, as long as the price to performance ratio beats the 'vette. Cause if its braggin rights, like top gun vs top gun, we've always got the GT, and i don't think the vette is gonna touch that. I think the vette fits pretty squarely in between the stang and the GT, which i admit is quite a range. But still, I don't think the stang needs to be as fast as the vette, but it would be cool.

They're comparing engines, not cars.
That v10's gonna find its way into the 6 series, so there's a more direct comparison of cars if you want.

the Cobra WILL NOT cost more then the Z06....there's a reason for this; bang-for-the-buck value
As for the comment about the M5, top gear magazine has got an article about the Williams F1 team getting hold of a few new M5's, they reckon it'll pack over 1000bhp by the time they finish with the engine
.
Give it a month and the article will be on the web.

Besides I think Williams has other issues it needs to work on before worrying about some stupid street engine! Like replaceing two great drivers it let go!
