Bye Bye Mustang

I decided to trade in my 2013 Mustang GT for a 2015 Silverado 1500 CC LT. Chevrolet had $12000 in rebates and incentives on the truck and I couldn't refuse.

It is bitter sweet to get out of my Mustang. Bitter because of all the issues I have had with the car, the lack of good customer support (except for Deysha), and the whole lemon law ordeal. Sweet because I don't have to deal with all these issues anymore and I get a nice new truck with a warranty. At this point in my Mustang ownership, I would have been at the dealership service department for a check engine light, lol. So hopefully the Chevrolet is way more reliable.

Despite all my issues with the Mustang, It was the funnest, best looking, and sounding car I have ever owned. I almost regretted trading it when a nice sounding coyote blew past me on the highway. It will forever have a place in my heart. Maybe in a few years I will get back into one!

PICS OF NEW TRUCK!!

Took her hunting on Saturday:

Nice truck, except you will feel remorse. I traded a 2014 GT Mustang for a 2015 f350 6.7. Beautiful truck. Almost everyday I would see or hear a Mustang GT pass and it drive me crazy. Lucky enough my children are grown and I was able to purchase a pre-owned 2014 Stage 3 Mustang with 575 supercharged HP and only 1811miles with a Ford Certified warranty, for only $37500. I still have the truck! Now I have the best of both worlds. Thank god my wife knows my deep love for the Mustang and gave me the green light.

That would have been ideal! I'm only 27 though and have a ways to go before I can afford to do what you did. I would love to eventually get into a high HP RWD car again. It's a blast.

And tow vehicle, bahaha.

At your age I drove a beat up 1973 Impala, you are definitely one up on me at 27. Eventually the truck will be paid for and who knows, high HP can be in reach! Enjoy the truck, you need it to hunt!

It's a shame folks have to give up their Mustangs because of quality issues. Fortunately, I have never had to take my car in for service. I just hit 31,000 miles so I'll see how it goes. Had my new edge for 13 years. Great car except for the composite intake that cracked. We should be able to kick but as a country on build quality. I hope it gets better.

Great looking truck. I drove one of these in Z71 trim a few months back. Great ride, very comfortable and ruggedly built. I'd love to have one myself. Good call.

I will be trading my 2011 GT in this weekend on a new Ford Explorer or F150 due to me being relocated to a construction site in another stated for the next 3-5 years and I don't want to take my stang on the site. It is very tough for me also since this has been my baby for the last 4 years but I need something bigger since I will be traveling a lot and will have more people with me in the car now.
