Basically a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel Insignia VXR, that we've already had in the UK for a few months.

If I was spending that amount of cash on a saloon, I'd want the VXR8, which is a rebadged Holden.....or Pontiac to you guys!
RWD, V8 and I bet the fuel consumption isn't far off the turbo-4.

The VXR stands out a little more, but the mainstream Insignias are a little bland to my eyes. The front and sides are nice, but the rear end is a little odd. Rather like a dog dragging its rear-end along the floor!!!
Still, it's got a great looking interior and goes pretty well do. I just prefer the old school "muscle car" bad boy VXR8!
If it's mechanically identical to the VXR "Captain Slow" reviewed in Top Gear, it should make for a interesting Buick. Probably would make it the most appealing Buick to younger U.S. buyers in decades. But please, do not slap GN badges on the fenders or call it a "T-Type".

Boy, if Buick did create a GNX coupe like shown above, with AWD and a 350+hp-class turbo V6, then they really would have a fully modern successor to the old GNX. Such a car would difinitely move Buick out of the geriatric ward and into rubbing elbows with such illustrious company as the Audi S5, BMW335 and other premium modern cars that Buick ought to be mingling with.
All the current Buicks give me some strange urge to chug a bottle of prune juice and take up a hand or two of Bridge.
