Awesome, diesels are way better than those overpriced POS hybrids. I cant believe theyre arguing about which is better for the environment, digging the materials out of the earth to make those **** batteries in the hybrids makes such a mess and takes so much work.

I don't much care for the hybrid tech either, but to be fair, the Bimmer will be spewing way more CO2 into the atmosphere than the Prius will, fuel 'efficiency' notwithstanding.

I would think for a smart car sized commuter with a plug-in turbo diesel hybrid would work pretty good, well except for the price.

We need a viable plug in hybrid...right now. There is no reason for this to not be commonplace right now. No, it is not THE answer, but it sure is a huge step in the right direction. Power from the grid is surely cleaner and more efficient than any ICE engine will ever be.

hybrid drive still better in stop and go because battery brings it up 2 speed; reason for its design in the first place
