To answer your question,,,
The main reason MOST street rods have Chevys in them is because they are shorter(fan room) and the oil filter and fuel pump locations on the Ford interfere too much with the frames. Also Chevy SB aftermarket is huge and the Ford aftermarket is minimal to none(older small block 260-351)
