Auto Transporters?

Anyone know a cheap way to get a car from Birmingham, Alabama to Las Vegas and back without driving it the whole way?

I don't want to drive 4000 miles round-trip. I want to put it on a trailer then catch a plane.

I don't want the risk of having the car driven 2000 miles to SEMA.

Driving there could be fun.

I recently droved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Twin Falls, Idaho then to Las Vegas, Nevada and back. It was about 4,500 miles. Man that was fun.

You could also try a train service. May be more reliable than a uhual trailer and less expensive than a plane

I Googled "auto transporters" and got all kinds of hits. IMO, do the same and just start going down the list.

Yeah...I dont think you are going to find a cheap way to do this....sounds expensive. I like Dougs idea....I'l even volunteer!....but Seriously...

My dad owns a trucking company...he might do it for you. They normally try to get around $1.30 per mile...+ or - some becuase of weight. So..since your car will probably be the only thing on a 53 foot enclosed trailor...he might do it for a little cheaper.....HOWEVER...getting the truck to stay there all week so you can get it home might cost you a little extra...but hey...the driver might want to hang out in vegas for a while....so who knows?

there are (or have been in places I've lived) plenty of outfits taht will move your car. I had one that moved my truck from RI to AZ. They may have irregular schedules and such, but they're out there. Just crack op the yellow pages and start dialing.
