Another Toyota recall

http://www.autoblog.com/category/recalls-tsbs/

Tundra camshafts, FJ Cruiser issues, the public knock by Consumer Reports--Toyota isn't struggling with sales, but it seems they are struggling with quality issues.

The only good thing for Toyota is most of the recalled vehicles are not in the US. That will probably help them save face...albeit a little bit.

One thing I admire about the Japanese and toyota is that they really do seem to care about the quality of the work. I never see GM or Ford say they feel shamed and take action to fix.

Americans don't seem to have the same pride in their jobs to really want to do good work.

They don't have much to be ashamed of because they often wont een admit a problem exists. Even worse consumers regularly buy their BS excuses, although that appears to be changing.

Engine sluding issues: Never admitted to

FJ Cruiser stress fatigue issues: Currently still denying blame

The above are two extremely serious issues one of which destroyed more than a few engines while the other is literally causing FJ40s to come apart in a structural area. And these are not isolated issues.

Door handles falling off, bad power window motors are one thing.

Wheels falling off trucks is quite another like the recall on my buddy's 03 Tacoma TRD a few years back.

I just hope people start waking up and realizing that japanese vehicles aren't as perfect as the ads want you to think they are.
