Thanks a lot for the ideas, guys. Some good ones in there! That last idea is iconic. I can check if that one is taken through our DMV. I have a feeling that one is taken.

Ok so I checked. OIIIIIO is taken. There are really 7 vertical slats on the front grille, so obviously 9 characters is not an option. I’m sure there’s variations of shorter I’s but not sure if I’m feelin’ it. Shucks.

Yup, it is one that tends to go fast.

You are right really need 7 I's do it for real, but no one has a vanity plate with 9 characters, 5 I's look pretty good. Not sure you want to go less. Always thought that was a great idea someone had... Sure wasn't mine, but I like it.

Good luck!

Ha. And that's best-case scenario - if you go wheeling, you'll have dents and body scratches pretty quickly too! Upside, you could have the cleanest, lowest-mileage JL on BaT in 20 years!

Thanks for the ideas guys! With 5 vehicles, I can only put so many miles on each. I have to admit though, Wruby will get more miles than Marilyn now, I think.

Btw, I checked with the dealership, and the moved my ship date estimate from 5/10 to 5/14 Monday. So... that would mean that they are building it today. But I'm not holding my breath. My guess, pushed out at least a wekk. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

UPDATE:

I entered G - Trim status today!!! Contacted my dealership, and they let me know that. He thinks it will be "finished" this week... by that I think it just means, it will be just that, finished, still have to go through inspection, shipping, etc. My guess is that it will be next week or even after that.

I was really hoping to have Wruby before Memorial Day weekend so I could do some modding and driving. Ugh. Prolly not gonna happen.......

I pasted my status, and also all the other statuses, below.

Thanks Tony!!! I think this might be true!

Guess what I found out today!?!?!??! I got moved to KZ Status!!! Woohooooooooooooooooooooo

Dealer said that it should take a few days to a week to get here! So, I'm hoping (crossing fingers tightly) that it gets here before Memorial Day. Great way to enjoy a 4 day weekend!

Additionally, I'll be taking a day off to go pick Wruby up. I already made an agreement (part of my purchase plan) with the dealership that they are to notify me as soon as it arrives on or off the truck, and that NO ONE will touch the vehicle without me there. I will do all the peeling and unwrapping, along with my trusted sales guy there. No washing, prepping, or anything else... no one touches the paint. LOL. Oh and most of all, no pre-drilling front bumper holes.

The other awesome bit of news - apparently all Saharas are now coming with black satin Fuel Doors. So the guy I sold my Mopar steps to is also buying my fuel door! Yesssssss... I'm all set.

This is a snapshot of my actual build sheet. Wruby is physically built and waiting to be loaded onto a truck!!!

lol thanks Gabe! Now I’ll know who the culprit is! But seriously, I was contemplating what I’d do for this vehicle, and I KNOW I won’t be as bad as Tony, so I’ll probably drive her in the rain (occasionally), and will drive her in the winter when the roads are clear. Other than that, I’m not sure if I’ll ever go off-roading. Hmmmm

WHAT??? You buy a 4x4 Jeep and you only drive it when the weather is nice and the roads are clear? That is almost sac religious!

Jeep=Dirt=Mud=Slush=Snow. And you know you can drive this one through a car wash... if it will fit.

You know if you don’t treat it “Jeep Right” it will rebel.

lol thanks guys! I really AM gonna drive her a lot more though. Thing is, I work only a few miles from home, so driving my fun cars isn’t as much fun. I will be taking the family a lot in her though, so she’ll get dirty I’m sure.

UPDATE!!! Wruby went into KZ L today!!! From what I understand that means she’s about to be put on a truck within a day or so. The guess is it will arrive at the dealership early next week? I’m still hoping for this weekend, but prolly not.

i also have to develop a rack or a hanging mechanism for Wruby’s door removal - I want to come up with an easy and safer way to hang my doors when I remove them! Was thinking about using the same kind of Rubbermaid hanging racks I have. I’ll hang a new set somewhere else in the Garaj, then hangars, and voila.
