Pontiac G6 GTP
Even with 3.9L it's still rated at less HP than Ford's 3.5L V6 found in the base Fusion (240 vs 250). Not much difference, but this is supposed to be the hot version of the G6. GM is so stupid sometimes. Put a frickin' supercharger or turbo on that thing!

Its not like Ford hasn't made a snafu every one in awhile.

It's also probably a bad time to point they both have more HP then a V6 Stang. :P

that G6 is available with a manual transmission though, so that does make things better.

Its a front wheel drive car as well... its almost silly to put a big cube motor or a power adder in it.

Fusion's base engine is not 3.5L.

Interestingly, the G6 GTP V6 6 speed is in nearly the same price range as a Mustang GT. (G6 GTP = ~$28K with options, base price ~$24K) For that price, I'd rather have a 300hp V8 RWD Mustang GT.

Looks like a rejected 350z concept.

Not my cup of tea, but it doesn't look THAT bad for a "small" car.

Right, but GM did it anyway with the new Impala SS, and the (older) Cadillac STS and DTS. The other FWD vehicles with 3800 V6's such as the last Riviera and so forth did have supercharged versions. Ford did something too with that forgettable Lincoln with the Intech(?) V8. At least Ford wised up.

You swear like dealer's actually charge that. They knock about 7-8 grand in rebates easy. GM's MSRP prices are almost never honored by dealers. There's huge rebates on all of their cars.
