Despite the fact that many of the same people whining that the New Cobra isn't retro are the same people complaining the New GT is too retro, Ford's biggies decided to listen and make some changes.

I like the current car, But I have faith in Mays' and Ford's abiliity to make it even better.

 

To me this is good news. I really wanted to like the Cobra concept (I absolutely love the original), but in reality I only like the overall proportions/basic shape and the rear clip. From the rear wheels forward the design elements placed over that basic "slotcar" shape just don't do anything for me. It really doesn't matter to me wether the "refinements" made to the car make it more retro, less retro, or a wash. Just so long as the concept is as beautiful as the original this go-round.

As an aside I have no complaints about Ford GT styling.

To Ford I say :w00t: for recognizing that the syling may have been a bit off, and being willing to fix it.

 

I hope they make that grill opening more oval like I did on the photoshop image

 

Actually, I don't like it that they are going to change it. I loved the Cobra Concept now. :angry:
