So what do ppl think of this car for a daily driver? Guys wanting 600 bucks for it. I'm debating buying it.

I had a buddy that drove one of those. It was fine and in his family from new and then he finally got it at 403,000 miles. And proceeded to kill it I drove it before he got his hands on it and it was still a great little car. Rode nice, good shifter, interior holds together, I'd go for it

 

how many miles are on it? For 600 with around 200k it should be ok. Do you know any of its history. Oil changes, timing belts ....

I'd buy it if you're looking for a beater. for 600 bucks it looks like its in pretty good shape

 

Imlooking for a good daily driver so I don't tear up my cobra. Plus I got some build plans for the cobra. And maintenance is cheap on the prelude compared to the cobra ie tires, oil, brakes, ect.

Ok. Car is in pretty good shape. Talked him down to 500 bucks. Taking it to the shop tomorow to look it over real good. will talk more when I get it home tonight

 

2.0DOHC! The upgrade engine for 89! Thing runs smooth! Has a couple issues..

1 several leaks.. looks mostly like hoses and a few gaskets.

2 speedo don't work. Gonna check that out tommorow.

3 cv axles are bad. Gonna price them tommorow.

4 rotors need to be machined. Doing that tomorrow

5 tranny shifts a little late and the light comes on. But it doesn't slip and it doesn't miss a gear. (Think the speedo might have something to do with it but not shure.)

6 check engine light comes on.. runs and isles smooth with no hesitation so I'm going to pull codes tomorrow and hope for the best


Other than that its all good.. no cracks or tears in the interior. It's really clean inside!

Lmao probably. It's a little peppy. Coolant leak was just a hose
